The Indian car auto manufacturer Tata Motors said it has put off the price rise for its commercial vehicles. The company President for Commercial Vehicle Business Unit said the company is maintaining margins which helps to have options on prices of the vehicles. The news came at the launch of Tata Winger Platinum amidst pressures on the increase of input costs. He said the company has been receiving continued internal targets but it does not evade from facing the upward rise of the input costs.

The same factor has made major car makers to go for hike in vehicle prices from January 2011, giving hope to have growth in sale during this month. Another factor that made the Japanese car makers doing business in India is the fluctuation in yen value against US dollar.

Of the global manufacturers, Honda Siel Cars and Toyota Kirloskar import large items of components for their products. Amidst these speculations, Tata Motors recently launched its 7-seater luxury car Tata Winger Platinum offering space and comfort.
