Tata Nano Open Direct From Showrooms

With the closure of bookings for Nano, Tata Motors has let the customers to have the test drive and buy Nano straight from the dealers. This follows the move initiated in Kerala two months ago and will be available in the states of WB, Maharastra, UP and Karnataka. Since the launch in 2009, Tata has been making bookings for Nano directly, on the assumption of bulk demand and production constraint.

Following the land acquisition tussle in Singur, West Bengal, Tata migrated to Sanand in Gujarat where it currently produces Nano from this June. The Sanand facility is to be upgraded to 20000 units from this December and the current capacity is 2.5 annual units which is also to be increased to 3.5 lakh units.

After that the delivery has pricked up with 1 lakh bookings are to be completed by this year end. Further, Tata Motors has made a pact with nationalized and private banks for financial assistance to the customers buying Nano.
