India's largest vehicle maker, Tata Motors is planning to launch the European variant of Tata Nano, known as 'Nano Europa' in India. The new luxury variant of the world's cheapest car, Tata Nano, will have power steering, powerful engine, air bags and ABS as safety features. Nano Europa was displayed in the Geneva Motor Show in 2009.

According to MD PM Telang of Tata Motors India, the company is looking forward to launch the fully loaded car in India when it gets ready for its debut in Europe market. He added that Nano Europa will have several features like a more powerful engine, power steering, ABS, airbags as well as higher structural strengths.

The structural strengths, indicate a longer wheelbase and interior design modifications to suit the European market. Speculations say that, the Nano Europa will be powered by 3 cylinder sporty all-aluminium MPFI engine with a 5-speed automatic transmission. Tata Motors is developing this petrol engine which will be fuel efficient and will also have lower CO2 emission, lesser than 100 gm/km. We can expect the Nano Europa in 2012.
