Tata Motors Now Introducing New Vehicles

Indian automobile giant, Tata Motors is mulling over new fuel efficient cars as well as hybrid cars in emerging markets and also planning to increase the sales of its Jaguar and LandRover cars in India and China.

According to Ratan Tata, Tata Motors Chairman, the current range of vehicles has seen resurgence in demand, and the challenge before the company today is to deliver enough vehicles to meet market demand. In India, Tata Motors plans to launch a new cross-over vehicle, two new passenger vehicles and a new range of heavy trucks. The Chairman also informed that China has emerged as the third-largest global market for Land Rover/Range Rover and studies are underway to consider options to increase market penetration in China, India and other developing markets.

India and China shows strong signs of automobile business growth as during 2009, China's vehicle sales grew by 48 percent and the passenger car sales in India grew by 24.5 percent. Hence, Tata is mulling over new range of Jaguar cars like Station Wagon, an entry-level Jagura and a new roadster. Tata Motors is also planning to revamp its entire Range Rover portfolio and promises "the new Range Rover 'EVOQUE' will have be a bold design evolution in sports utility vehicles (SUVs).
