Tata Bus Soon On Madrid Roads

Tata Electric Bus
The Spain based subsidiary of Tata Motors, Tata Hispano Motors Carrocera SA has got order of 10 CNG Series Hybrid low-floor city buses to run in Madrid. Tata will assemble the buses on it chassis and the first lot will be ready by 2012. To be utilized for urban commuting the Tata buses are to be powered with a series of hybrid system, as the engine is detached from the driveline. Tata buses run on electric energy derived from generator by which the charge for battery pack is made on steady supply. It is from this battery that the tractive power is derived in the form of electrical energy. There is a consistent speed, consistent load mode and higher engine efficiency amidst varied applications of speed and stops.

The company revealed that the bus is meant for enabling fuel efficiency and better emission rate unlike conventional buses. This provides good and green environment and the Tata bus proves to be the best among the enviro-friendly commercial electric vehicles. Tata bus (electric vehicle)is designed with its chassis compatible for electric mode, CNG micro turbine and hydrogen fuel cell.

The height of the Tata bus is 350mm and is built with heater, air-conditioner, babyseat, luggage room, WIFI, security camera, wheel chair, electrical ramp, reverse camera, electronic display board, ticketing machine, kneeling option for smooth entry and exit, automatic in-swing and out-swing doors. Tata claims that the features will enable fast run and more trips.

Since the Tata electric vehicle has electrically controlled air suspension and electronic braking. The bus is set to run at the maximum speed of 70km/hr and hence there is smooth start and acceleration, marvelous ride performance. The bus is said to become a piece of innovation and ideally comfortable for urban transportation.
