SX4 To Have Increase Fuel Efficiency

Maruti Suzuki is making a chart-out plan for increasing the fuel efficiency of its SX4 by 25 percent and the demo of this will be displayed at the ensuing Common Wealth Games in New Delhi. In addition to the hybridization, the electric variant of Eeco will also be on display during the occasion. Maruti is offering 10 units of the hybrid SX4 and 4 electric Eeco for the games.

The company"s MD and CEO said that the company"s engineers have successfully crafted the future technology cars based on their enhanced R&D proficiency. For emanating the said technology, the company pressed the service of 25 engineers and fittingly the display of such technology were at the Delhi Auto Expo in January last.

The technology of hybrid version is to inject power with the help of conventional fuel and fuel cells since they are Eco-friendly. The hybrid version enables an increase of 25 percent fuel efficiency in SX4 and Eeco is capable of delivering 100km at a single charge from lithium ion battery-powered engine. The move comes in the wake of the incentives offered from the government under National Hybrid Propulsion Programme and High Energy Density Battery Development Programme.
