Sales of SUVs Land Rover models increased globally

Land Rover had increased sales in India by 64% upto 3040 units during May 2010. Land Rover in UK recorded Freelander 2 as the best selling premium SUV which witnessed 60% increase in May 2010 as against May 2009. Other models like Range Rover showed a whooping 121% sales increase while Discover 4 showed 87% increase, Range Rover Sport showed 58% increase and the Defender showed 32% increase in May 2010.

In China, Land Rover vehicles were sold numbering 2026 units while in Italy, 1133 units were sold. When compared to May 2009, the sales of Land Rover vehicles in May 2010 constituted upto 104 percent in China auto market and 25.9 increase in Italian auto market.

In North America 24% increase in sales with 2935 units was recorded by Land Rover.
