Mahindra To Bring Ssangyong SUVs Rexton And Korando

According to Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief of Operations, M&M, Rexton and Korando will competed with SUVs in the Rs 15-20 lakh price bracket and the cost will be decided depending on the level of localization.
The premium SUV segment in India is still a child and people in the country need more time getting used to these beastly vehicles. So, Mahindra would find it tough to sell more than 400 units of the two Korean models initially.
Ssangyong workers aren't been in good rapport with the company's management. According to Korean Times, the Ssangyong Motor Labor Union public relations official Mr. Lee Kyu-baek has stated that the bidder must not mess with the workers and the union is framing a proposal as well as preparing for negotiations. He added that the Labor Union will start direct communication with the preferred bidders once they are announced. The Labor Union has clearly stated that it will not discriminate against either Korean or foreign firms.
