Spyker Cars To Launch In India
Dutch car manufacturer, Spyker Cars is all set to enter the Indian auto market. Spyker Cars officially stated that it is looking for the right partners in viable markets for the brand and is discussing with a number of potential partners in many new markets including India.
The Netherlands born and is on the verge of creating sensations in India with likely partners and has already fixed two dealers in Delhi and Mumbai. Even after conducting necessary surveys in the country final decision is still pending but everything will be finalized in 2011, said a statement from the company.
With no official pricing made public it is learnt that the models may cost in crores- C8 Spyker Aileron to cost Rs1.6 crores in London. This is one of the popular models from the company of which C8 series won fame from the Sharon Stone"s driving in Basic Instinct movie. The range has LM 85, C12 Zagato and D8 Peking-to-Paris.
Spyker is not although new to India as Vijay Mallya and Jan&Michael Mol of Netherlands introduced the variant in Formula 1 team right back in 2007 which was since christened as Force India. This car will be another to the already expanding luxury car market in India. VW"s Bugatti came out with the premium sports car Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport at Rs16 crore, deemed to be the India"s richest car. The US maker Aston Martin is also brushing up its ideas to enter into the Indian luxury car market under a tie up with Infinity Cars. A showroom has already been designed in Mumbai where the models will be sold at Rs 3 crore.
