Porsche targets to sell 50 cars for 2010
Porsche, the German sports car maker is eyeing to achieve sales targets. The Porsche 1.4 crore to Rs 2 crore Panamera, launched in October, has bagged 25 orders. 16 cars among these will be delivered in 2010 and the company is setting a sales target of 50 units in 2010. Porsche is gaining success in global sales too.
In March, Porsche has sold 16000 Panamera models throughout the world. It set a target of selling 20,000 cars after the launch of this model in 2009.
Porsche"s India sales is largely dominated by Cayenne, and the rest of the sports cars. Porsche"s models include Cayenne, Boxster, Cayman, Panamera and 911 range in India. The prices of these cars starts from Rs. 59 lakhs and extends up to Rs. 2 crore. In 2009, Porsche has sold 94 cars.
Recently, Porsche has launched the 2nd Generation Cayenne in Mumbai. The Cayenne comes in Hybrid version too. The starting price is Rs. 65 lakhs and it is as high as Rs. 1.2 crore for the top end models.
