MD Of Mercedes Benz, India, Is Resigning

Dr. Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director of the luxury car brand Benz, is resigning. Aulbur was a very important person in making a big come back for Mercedes which is facing a tough competition from BMW and Audi. BMW, last year, overtook Benz by selling more cars and becoming the top selling luxury car brand of our country. But, Benz came back with a bang this year, once again outnumbering its arch rival by selling large numbers. Dr. Albur and his team has worked hard to make the sales reach 84 percent this year, when compared to 2009.

Situations are now good for the German car maker because, its Chakan plant is functional in full swing and it has also launched a bunch of new cars to attract the customers. Aulbur had been in India and loves our country. He infact, married an Indian lady and has decided to live in India for the rest of his life. Aulbur is also known to move out of the auto sector and indulge in a new field.
