Mercedes Benz To Start Operations In Chakan Factory

Increasing demand is making the leading German car manufacturer, Mercedes Benz will invest Rs. 200 crore to start the second shift at its Chakan plant.
According to Mercedes-Benz India Management Board -Member (Sales and Marketing) Director Debashis Mitra, the company will start the second shift operations shortly at the Chakan plant which has an installed capacity of 5,000 units per shift a year.

Mercedes Benz is facing tough competition from its arch rival BMW and Audi, as all the three manufacturers have introduced so many models in the recent months. So, in order to satisfy the customers in a better and faster way, Mercedes is ramping up the production and staying ahead of its competitors.
