Mercedes Benz ESF Car For Child Safety
Mercedes is shaping such a concept car with keen attention on child seat safety. The retail variant of the one of this kind is on the production stage, said an official from Mercedes-Benz. The ESF car of Mercedes, was at display at the Australia showcase. The ESF incorporates numerous safety technologies for experimental purpose aimed for commercial production. The concept is based on Isofax mounting brackets at the rear seating providing safety and support for head and shoulder projection.
There is an adjustable tubular steel frame for providing strong base for the child"s seating area aided with side and head padding. Without back part, there is a rear-seat contour and padding for stretched leg room and protective area differing from the usual seat-shaped shell. However, the ESF concept is not new to Australia as many cars based on this are on the roads. But there is a race for the safety gear system in cars as new concept for every aspect of car is expected from the customers. The actual competition is between the engineers and safety aspects as they are in confrontation on weight addition and removal.
