Maruti Swift "Refined" For 2011

Maruti Suzuki"s best selling sedan Swift will be refined for the 2011 position to be ready by exactly a year. The model, 3rd generation Maruti Swift was on display at the Hungary show earlier this year. For better and enhanced delivery of the refined versions of Maruti Swift and Dzire, the company is facelifting the facilities at Gurgaon and Manesar.

Under this scheme, Gurgaon will be the exclusive facility for Dzire and Manesar will be in charge of Swift. The process will be on phases Dzire from July 2011 and Swift later, said the company"s CEO for Production. As of now the company is delivering 10000 units of Dzire and 12000 units of Swift per month and there is no official revelation about the proposed volume of delivery.

Incidentally, the vehicles Swift and Ritz have the waiting period of 3 or 4 months and one or two months respectively. However, customers are too patient to buy Dzire after 5 months which is akin to Eeco models too. Maruti expects its sale to rise by 30% during this FY in local market against sale of 8.7 lakh units in 2009, said its Managing Executive Officer for marketing and sales. Maruti Swift has been in Maruti"s platform since 2005, unveiled as the sporty sub-compact strategic car.
