Maruti Retains Its supremacy In Shares
The company sold 118908 units in October which is inclusive of export volume making it the highest ever monthly sale for Maruti- a rise of 39.21 percent against the sale done in the same period of 2009.
Maruti had to face a stiff competition from GM, Ford and Hyundai as it had to lose its ground of share reaching the low 43.62 percent in June last when the sale was 61,589 units from the net sale volume of 141184 units in India. However in the next month Maruti increased its sale to 47.94 percent with selling 76,111 units from the net market sale of 1,58,764 units. It was 48.73 percent in August with the sale reaching to 78,351 units from 16,0794 units in the domestic market.
Maruti received a jolt again in September when it incurred a fall to 47.94 percent amidst more sale volume than the earlier months- 81060 units out of the net sale of 16,9082 units. The performance of October is a repeat of Maruti"s show in this May when it was 51.27 percent with the sale of 76120 units out of 148481 units.
