Maruti All Indian Car In Another Two Years

The completely made in India car from Maruti is expected to hit the Indian roads in another two years. The design, engine specification and the position of the brand for this car will be over by next six months, it is learnt. However, unofficial sources hint that this car may stand on the lines of Alto though Maruti is seeking the technological assistance from its partner Suzuki.

The projects under the JV has an investment of Rs1500 crore for the R& D expansion drafted for the next 4 years. If the move succeeds, it will be the best outside project for Suzuki. The company spokesperson said that the company elicits the customer satisfaction more than anything else and hence the talk on future models is too mature now he claimed.

Maruti plans this internal car to counter the similar move from Hyundai Motor which is designing for India ready for launch in 2012. Hyundai intends to place this car on its Santro to counter Maruti"s Alto. This car is the largest selling small car in the Indian market for Rs2.29 -Rs3.26 lakh price range at an average monthly sale of 20000 units.
