Maruti Suzuki A-Star Car Recall

The units which were recalled are the one's sold or exported from India last year.
Approximately 40,000 units of the car in the domestic market and 60,000 units of exported cars are among the one's recalled. It was confirmed by company official.
The A-Star recall comes in the league of cars by Toyota, Honda and Volkswagen.
Maruti confessed that it had earlier noticed the leak in few fuel tanks and the process of recall was started then after.
“These vehicles belonged to a lot made till 22nd August 2009. No problem has been reported by customers. However, as a proactive step, we decided to check all vehicles from the lot, around 100,000 units including those exported overseas. We are changing fuel pump gasket and O ring at no cost to customer," the company said in a statement.
Maruti claims its measures were taken quite early and was not disclosed voluntarily. The company will surely fix up the problem as soon as possible and A - Star will remain the best.
