Maruti Service Outlet For Every 25 Kms
With this move there will be more than 200 service outlet for Maruti in the country and the idea, according to its EO for service, by this fiscal end, there will be Maruti Service Outlet for every 25kms across the country. As of now there are 2855 service centres for Maruti spread over 1363 cities in India. By the end of 2010-11 it will increase to 3000 when the company will enter into 2900 taluks to meet the target of service outlet for every 25kms. Now this distance is 35km. For Hyundai, the concept is, according to its Director and Board Member for sales and marketing, the success of a company lies on right product, distribution and growing service network. The company targets to increase its service stations to 757 by adding 130 more to the existing 527.
While Toyota has its strategies by launching its small car Liva so that it can revive its lost momentum. The company is pinning on the hope to increase the sale by double volume and also the service stations. The official of the company said the truth of the word of mouth exerts a greater influence on sales and service. Toyota has the reputation for its product range and quality. Already the company has reached some150000 cars and the focus now is on servicing them properly. With the existing 97 service units in India, Toyota is increasing this to 150 before this year end. Out of these, 135 will be equipped with workshop to enable maintenance works. The remaining will involve in collecting data base of the customers in India.
GM is devising its plans to yield triple sale figure in India in another three years. From December 2011, GM will serially add new models to its range so as the service centres will be increased from the current 200 to 300 in another three months. The company"s Director and VP attributed the increase in its sale due to the growth in agriculture sector which made the arrival of Beat and Spark enter easily into the rural sectors. Hence the need for service centres in tier-II and tier-III has become necessary, he added.
