Maruti Car Price Hike
India's No. 1 Car maker has increased the prices of its car models due to the steep rise in the cost of raw materials like steel and rubber. Maruti has increased the price of all its models except for Alto, the largest selling small car of the country.
Maruti has increased up to Rs. 7500 per model and the new prices are applicable with immediate effect. According to the company's statement, Due to a sharp increase in the input costs, Maruti Suzuki India has decided to pass on a part of this cost impact to customers. The approximate price revision on various models ranges between Rs.2000 and Rs.7500.
The new Wagon R will cost Rs 3,500-4,500 more, the swift will get costlier by Rs 4,700 across all variants. The Estilo gets dearer by Rs 3,500 and SX4 sedan price increases by Rs 7,500. Maruti Alto, is the only car that is exempted from the price hike!
