M&M Receives Tier-2 BIN-5 and OBD II Certificate

Mahindra has stated that it has received the Light Duty Diesel Federal Tier-2 BIN-5 and OBD II Compliance Certificate from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of the United States.

According to release of the company, Mahindra is the first Indian company to receive this certificate for diesel powered LDV (Light Duty Vehicles) and join the select group of global automotive makers.

Mahindra's product development team along with the support of its consultants and suppliers had met the Tier-2 BIN-5 Emissions at the same time reaching needed fuel efficiency.
Mahindra has used a top notch Diesel Technology called as 'Piezo 1800 bar Common Rail System, a fourth generation Boosting and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalytic technology so as to comply with the strict Tier-2 Bin-5 Emission norms.
