Mahindra & Mahindra Spreads Factory To South Africa
India's largest SUV maker, Mahindra and Mahindra is ready to build an assembly factory in South Africa. Mahindra has witnessed a tremendous market scope for its products, backed by the factor that the company's sales growth was 80% since 2009.
According to M&M group president Pawan Goenka, Mahindra has just now finished an evaluation study in South Africa and it is yet to decide on the investment of money as well as the location of the Assembly plant.
Mahindra started its sales since 2004. M&M has already formed a strong tractor brand in Mali, Chad, Gambia, Nigeria and Ghana. Owing to the increase in demand and promising market growth, Mahindra is now planning to set up an assembly plant. By setting up this plant, M&M will make South Africa as the gateway to do automobile business with rest of Africa.
