Mahindra And Mahindra To Hike Price
The company"s VP for sales, customer care and automotive sector said that the rise, for invariably for all sectors, is to be effected to meet the increase in commodity prices of Mahindra Jeeps. The exact amount was not revealed by him but said the price rise was inevitable in the wake of rise in the prices of rubber and steel components.
Mahindra and Mahindra is not the only company to hike the prices as already VW and Tata Motors have hinted such rise. Tata said the rise will be in the range of 1.5% barring Nano and the recent launch Aria. While VW is increasing the price by 2.9 % for its small car Polo. Other companies who have already announced the rise are GM and Hyundai Motor.
Mahindra and Mahindra and all the other companies attribute the price hike to the increase of price for raw materials. Amidst this indication, the company recently showcased its recent utility vehicle Thar priced Rs5.99 lakhs. In addition there will be a new pick-up at 1.2tonne + category during the second half of 2011.
