Jaguar Land Rover To Hit Roads In 2011
Already there have been reports indicating the assembling of Freelander in Pune plant which was under the purview of Mercedes on contract basis. Meanwhile, the car market is all set to get one more diesel variant from Jaguar Land Rover, the British premium brand owned by Tata Motors. This will be Jaguar XF luxury sedan at Rs48.37 lakhs which will be powered by a 3.0 lit V6 cylinder and will come as CBU in India.
The version comes from the designing by the UK engineers as the customized version suited for Indian road, taking into account the potential domestic market. The official of the company said that there is a move to expand the dealer network and everything will be known after this process is over. Through 3 dealerships - Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi- JLR has sold 242 units in last fiscal. JLR was in the news with the launch of its 5.0lit petrol XF and the XFR supercharger. He indicated further that the assembling of JLR products in India is timed for next year.
