Hyundai To Donate $6.8 Million For National Cancer Awareness

Hyundai Motors has announced that it is planning to donate a total amount of $ 6.8 million to 68 hospitals and non-profit organizations (that is $ 100,000 to each). This is on the course of the National Childhood Cancer Awareness month.

Hyundai Motor America's 800 dealers will contribute 0 for every Hyundai vehicle sold in September. The bulk of the 'Hope on Wheels' grants will be raised this way through the Hyundai's US sales network.

According to John Krafcik, President and CEO of Hyundai Motors America, Hyundai made progress over the last few decades and now have an 85 percent cure rate, cancer still takes more lives than any other childhood disease. This September, in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Hyundai will shine a nationwide spotlight on this cause and provide more than million in grants for pediatric cancer research and support programs. He added that, Hyundai loves taking on big challenges at Hyundai, and can think of no more worthy challenge than finding a cure for all forms of pediatric cancer.

Hyundai 'Hope on Wheels' program has been working for the fight against childhood cancer for the past 12 years. The cumulative amount of million will be awarded to hospitals and non-profit organisations across the country.
