Volkswagen Registers 36 Percent Sales

The German car maker, Volkswagen has stated an impressive 36 percent growth in July 2010 as it sold 2,597 cars in India. The company has witnessed a 67 percent increase in its luxury car Passat in July 2010 when compared to the same month last year.

Volkswagen's hatchback, the New Polo fuels the brand's car sales. So far, 6618 units of Polo are running on Indian roads, since its launch in March 2010. Volkswagen's small-luxury car segment Beetle were sold at 301 units since the beginning of Jan 2010. Volkswagen's SUV, Touareg was sold at 69 units during Jan-Jul 2010. Volkswagen is making moves to deliver Polo cars to the customers as fast as possible. The company is about to launch Vento, a new sedan for Indian market by October.
