Q7 Audi To Launch At Rs 59.29 Lakh

The German auto maker of luxury cars, Audi announced its launch of Q7 SUV in India at Rs59.29 lakhs, deeming it to be a main element in the company"s success run in India. The company"s Head said that more success traits are expected with this launch and commercial deliveries from January 2011. The new Q7 is designed with an 8-speed mode to run at 100km/hr in just 6.9 seconds with the maximum speed of 245km/hr.

There are two variants of diesel Q7 as 4.2lit and 3.0 lit engine capacity. Further Audi is on the verge of conducting a feasibility survey for launching a luxury sedan A7. Audi is aiming to increase its output by 50 percent from its Auranagabad plant which can deliver 3000 units from 2011. The plant is looking after the assembly of sedans A4, A6 and Q5 SUV for India and the capacity is likely to increase to 2000 units before this year end. Audi"s target for this year is a sale volume of 2700 units against 1658 units sold in 2009.
