General Motors To Roll Out Diesel Beat By 2011
Chevrolet Beat will be powered by a 1.0 L diesel engine according to Ankush Arora, the automobile,car,chevrolet,general motors,small car India Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Services. The current petrol variant of Beat is powered by a 1.2 L engine will also be manufactured by the Talegaon plant from the end of 2010.
As with growing demands, the company has plans to fasten up the manufacturing of its Beat and Cruze models. Cruze production will be increased from 600 to 900 units while Beat production will increase from 3,300 units upto 4,000 units.
The Vice President mentioned that the Halol plant and Talegaon plant will produce cars in full swing by August September period. Talegaon plant has the capacity to produce 1,60,000 engines.
