Fortuner To Boost Sales

The JV is on the verge of launching the compact Etios shortly but this does not support the company from seeking the rise to 60 percent as Fortuner is doing well. The company"s Vice-Chairman revealed that the boost from the sale of Fortuner can however sustain the net profit though the net turnover stood at Rs 7,000 crore for this fiscal.
The net turn over during 2009-10 was Rs 4000 from which the profit accrued to Rs 300-400 crore. The net profit is expected to be less due to the increased input costs for the new facility and the forego of depreciation for the higher volume of Fortuner. He said the new Etios sedan will be rolled out on 1st December to be followed by the hatchback version soon. The compact version will be the first ever from Toyota to be floated in the much busy sector. In all the company sees much hope to sell around 70,000 units annually once both the versions of Etios are launched
