1st October 1908 is marked as the birthday of one of the greatest automobile creation, Ford Model T. On the creation of the model, Henry Ford said, “it will be available in any color you choose, so long as it's black". This went on to become the most famous statement about his best car Ford Model T. This car was a gift to the World, which brought a revolution in automobile industry.

Ford Model T, which was affectionately called “Tin Lizzie" by Henry Ford, was the firs car which was a car not only by the rich but also for the middle class. In the field of technology, it was one of the first cars which had four-cylinder motor, magneto ignition, and planetary transmission.

After introducing the car on the 1st October 1908, the car went on to become a great hit and demands soared. To catch up with the demand, Henry Ford introduced a new Model T plant in 1913, which had the capacity of producing one car in every 93 minutes, which earlier was one car in 728 minutes. The mass production of this car went on till 1927 and by that time one car was being produced in just 24 seconds.

Ford Model T cost $1,000 on 1st October 1908 which later dropped to $300 in 1927. It was the perfect combination of low price, technology and style.
