Ford's Sales Soar Four Times Higher Than Last Year
Ford India will be celebrating for sure, as it has enough happy news due to the hot selling Figo. The company has registered a sales of 8,739 units if its cars in July 2010 as against a mere 2,146 units in July 2009, which means a 4 fold increase.
Ford's sales is largely fueled by the company's new coo hatchback Figo. Ford India received 29,000 bookings so far for its Figo. The company commenced its second shift operations in its Chennai Factory, in order to ramp up production and thereby deliver the cars quickly to the customers.
Ford India is also exporting Figo cars as CBU to South Africa. Ford exports its engines manufactured in Chennai to Ford's Thailand Assembly plant.
