Ford Figo Sales At All Time High
Ford India sold 7,509 units during April 2010 in comparison to 2,034 units for last year with Figo being the top selling brand for the second month in a row. The Ford Endeavour, Ford Fiesta and Ford Ikon have been playing their significant roles in accumulating the overall sales for the Ford during the month of April.
Figo continued to generate and build a strong order bank with more than 15000 bookings in less than seven weeks. Starting June, Ford India will launch a second production shift to maximize production efficiency to meet the growing demand of Figo.
Michael Boneham, president and managing director of Ford India said, “We are happy to see the Figo sustain its momentum and create a new set of customers for us. We have set yet another record for YoY sales for the month of April and are pro-actively preparing to meet up with the demands as we begin our second production shift starting June. It gives us great satisfaction to see our hard work being appreciated by our customers."
