Fabia Gets Mid Career Facelift

Skoda, the Czech car maker, part of the Volkswagen Group of cars is ready with a face lifted Fabia. The new Fabia which will see a mid-career facelift will be launched during October-December 2010. The new Fabia would be fitted with redesigned headlamps, new tail lamps. The three pot engine of the Polo's 1.2 L petrol and 1.2 L diesel, will now fit into the Fabia's hood. Both the petrol engine as well as the diesel engine generates 75 PS of peak power.

Face lifted Fabia gets new exterior colors as well as redesigned interiors and also boasts new rubbers. Fuel economy conscious buyers and people who demand more value for money had turned down Skoda Fabia. Skoda tried the same way as Honda did it with Jazz. Hence, Fabia did not match the same delight that Octavia did in India. Even now, inspite of more localisation of Fabia's parts, the company has no plan to reduce the price and will sell this hatchback ranging from Rs.5.5 lakh to Rs. 7.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
