The turn of attention towards such developing countries like China and India is due to the gradual recovery from the recession phase in the West and the European market for luxury cars. The target in the Indian market for this luxury car is the aspiring young entrepreneurs who are too willing to go for this kind of cars. The MD of HIS Global Insight research firm said that the millionaires of this origin, HNI, are prone to enjoy life in an exorbitant manner and this sort of dealing is one such.

In India there are 60 prospective owners of Rolls Royce who are eager to receive the delivery in terms of few years and the cost of the car is Rs3.5 crore. Bugatti Veyron is another sensation in the luxury segment, as Rolls Royce and Maybach are at the helm of exhausting their quota for the Indian market.

The auto industry analysts view that the luxury car segment in India is expected to double from 100, by this fiscal end with an increase of 30%. This is attributed to the demand for Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW whose net sale volume stood at the rise of 31% with 8316 units during April - September this year. The possibilities reveal that India is on the verge of becoming the second largest market for luxury cars after China.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 commemorates the French racer Pierre Veyron and the car is already in the markets of China and Russia since 2007. It has an 8-lit engine with 1200nm power output from 16 x4 valves for 64 valves aided by 4 turbochargers. There is a dual clutch direct shift gearbox controlled by computer and there is an automatic transmission of 7-speed of which each shift is functional within 150 milliseconds.

In addition there is a conventional 4-wheel drive ability ably driven by Michelin PAX flat tyres and notably the rims are fit to be dismantled at the production facility in France only. So far there are 220 Veyron 16.4 Grand are on roads globally.

The names of the owners are scripted on the body of the car, as displayed with Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise, American fashion designer Ralph Lauren and the Indian painter Maqbool Fida Hussain. In a sense this Veyron is akin to the private jet similar to Dassault, Bombardier, Airbus, Boeing and Gulfstream which have gathered orders for 156 aircrafts of the Indian origin. This has made India the fourth largest market for the jets in the world. This is an another series to the entry of the luxury two wheeler companies like Ducati and Harley Davidson.
