BMW 5 Series Rolled Out From Chennai Plant

BMW commenced the production of its 5 series luxury sedan and rolled out the cars from the company's Chennai plant. BMW Plant Managing Director Juergen Eder said that BMW 5 Series is the core product in BMW's model range and has significantly contributed to the image and success of BMW in India.

He also said that, the company is confident that the new BMW 5 Series produced in Chennai will further increase this German car brand's momentum in the Indian luxury car segment.
BMW 5 series price starts from Rs. 38.9 lakh upto Rs.58 lakh (Ex-showroom). BMW 5 series contributes more than 50 percent of the company's total sales. In fact, since the car's launch in 2007, BMW has so far sold 3700 units.

BMW produces 523i, 530d and 525d as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) units and BMW imports 535i as a CBU (Completely Built Unit)
