Chevrolet Ready With Beat And Cruze
GM, the American car maker is gearing up to increase the production of its best selling cars, Cruze and Beat. The decision is made by the company officials in order to meet the demand from the customers on these two models. Beat is a hatchback car and Cruze is a luxury . According to GM India Vice-President, P Balendran, the company has introduced a second shift in Talegaon and Halol plants to meed the rising demand. He also stated that the production capacity has been surged from 6,000 to 12,000 units, a double fold per month.
The VP of GM India is confident that the Chevrolet will be able to meet the escalating demanding from its customers in the country with the expanded manufacturing capacities. The company is also positive in clearing the backlog for Beat and Cruze by August month. Currently, Halol and Talegaon plants together, constitute 2,25,000 cars every year. Halol car factory of GM India can produce 85,000 cars per year while the small-car plant, located at Talegaon, produces 1.4 lakh units.
