Honda Accord Named Most Reliable Car In U.K.

In the survey conducted by Which? magazine, and involving 84000 cars, Japanese-built Honda cars took four of the top seven. The best European car was Ford Fiesta with 96.2 per cent votes.
British-built cars like the Jaguar S-type, Jaguar XF and Land Rover Discovery made it to the list of least reliable performers. The Audi A5 caused greatest difficulties, with nearly one owner in four reporting problems. "Owning a car can make the difference between getting your summer holiday off to a flying start and sitting on the hard shoulder of the M6," the Telegraph quoted Richard Headland, editor of Which? as saying. He adds: "You can't do better than the Honda Accord, which is one of the most car reliable cars we've ever surveyed.
But, however, the figures for Audi seemed to be the least concern for the spokesman. "We are talking about seven cars with a problem out of a total of 8,000. We stand by the reliability of our cars," the rep said. A spokesman for Jaguar Land Rover said: "Jaguar is committed to providing a consistent high quality driving and ownership experience for all of its customers." he retorts: "Quality and customer satisfaction are top priorities for Land Rover."
Figures have been the least matter of concern for the man too. He concludes: "The report findings are based on a relatively small sample of owners and largely focused on models we no longer produce and which are not truly representative of the real and quantifiable progress Land Rover is making in terms of overall quality and reliability."
