The Car That Flies Is Banned

Well, this is what happened in the movie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, that was released in the year 1968. The movie was based on a real life story, and the care, which could fly, is a real-life-thing.
You call it a car, or a plane, the car named as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang can actually be used in both - driving and flying. But there comes some disappointment this time. Famous motorcar Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has been banned from taking part in a lord mayor's procession because it does not have an MoT.
The vehicle, which featured in the classic 1968 film of the same name, was due to join a huge parade through Norwich on July 11. But now, the organisers questions the security of the people gathered at the ceremony. "Our priority is the safety of the public and we cannot make exceptions," the Sun quoted spokesman Harry Mitchell, as saying.
"Although the road is closed for the procession," says Helen Selleck, the city council's events manager, "It is still classed as a public highway and the DVLA is clear that all vehicles in the procession need to be fully covered."
The car was due to be displayed by Norwich's Theatre Royal. Needless to say, there has been an utter disappointment among some. "We are very disappointed Chitty will not be seen on the streets," spokesman John Bultitude added.
