While Maruti Suzuki recently launched the much-awaited CNG version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno hatchback in India, the Japanese automaker will be now looking forward to launching the CNG version of the Glanza hatchback in the country.

While Maruti Suzuki launched the 2022 iteration of the Brezza SUV in India, the automaker is yet to launch the CNG version of the Brezza SUV in the country to further improve its overall sales figure and market share.

Also, the recently leaked information also reveals that the upcoming CNG version of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza will also sport automatic transmission. If true, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza S-CNG will not only be the country's first CNG SUV, but also the country's first CNG vehicle with an automatic gearbox.

We expect the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Brezza S-CNG to be powered by the same engine that powers the newly launched Maruti Suzuki XL6 S-CNG. This 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated engine in the XL6 S-CNG produces 99bhp of peak power and 136Nm of torque. However, this engine just produces 87bhp of power and 121Nm of peak torque using CNG.

The Kia Carens is one of the best-selling MUVs in the country. However, Kia India is planning to further increase its market share in the country with the launch of the CNG version of the Carens MUV in India.

Though the standard variant of the Kia Carens MUV comes with a choice of three engine options. An earlier spy shot has revealed that the CNG version of the Kia Carens MUV will sport the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine.

This engine in the standard form produces 138bhp of peak power and 242Nm of peak torque. However, we are not sure about the power output of this powertrain using CNG fuel, but we do expect the model to sport a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.
