Verdict
Our ultimate winner in terms of mileage, pricing, reliability, technology and style factor is the 'Hero Splendor iSmart. The attractive contrasting paint work makes this one of the better looking commuter bikes in a long while.
Besides the exciting look it is the new Start-Stop system that earns this bike top points, which is an excellent feature to have while riding in city traffic which is where this bike will spend most of its time.

Verdict
The other bikes come with their own merits as well. The TVS Star Sport for instance, with its 16 liter tank has a range of 1040 km — ideal for commuting long distances.
The mileage figures mentioned cannot be considered accurate, as the above mentioned figures are what manufacturers claim. To achieve these kind of figures one has to ride the bike in economy mode (40 - 50 kph, which in the current traffic scenario is hard to achieve).
