2025 Yezdi Roadster First Ride Review - Design & Features

The 2025 Yezdi Roadster blends classic cruiser styling with modern updates. It features a round headlamp, muscular fuel tank, wide handlebars, and sculpted side panels. The low-slung stance and chopped tail section add to its sleek proportions, echoing the look of Harley's 883 Iron.

The seat has been redesigned with thicker padding and premium stitching, offering better comfort on long rides. Riders can choose between a solo setup or add a detachable pillion. A single-sided tyre hugger with an integrated taillight keeps the rear neat and functional.

Fresh Faravahar graphics now appear on the tank and behind the seat, giving the bike a distinct visual identity. New wheel designs, inspired by the Jawa 42 Bobber, further enhance its appearance, while overall fit and finish underline Yezdi's focus on quality and durability. The Roadster is offered in five colour choices-Shark Fin, Grey DT, Maroon DT, Hunter Green, and Shadow Black-available in both matte and metallic finishes.

Beneath its updated styling, the 2025 Yezdi Roadster MK2 is built around a double-cradle steel frame. Suspension duties are handled by 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and twin gas-filled shock absorbers at the rear, featuring a 5-step adjustable preload. The motorcycle rides on alloy wheels (18-inch front and 17-inch rear) with tubeless tyres, while braking is managed by a 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc.

Power comes from a 334 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This motor produces 29.1 PS of power and 29.6 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox equipped with an assist and slipper clutch for smoother gear shifts. Performance highlights include a claimed top speed of 130 km/h and an average fuel efficiency of about 32 km/l under standard riding conditions.

2025 Yezdi Roadster First Ride Review - Riding Impressions

The 2025 Yezdi Roadster is powered by the firm's Alpha 2 engine. The new engine feels more refined than before, with a strong mid-range that makes highway cruising relaxed and overtaking effortless. Revised gearing-particularly in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th ratios-ensures smoother torque delivery and allows the bike to run at lower speeds in the city with ease.

The chassis and subframe have been made more rigid, improving stability at higher speeds. The suspension setup is on the stiffer side, which works well on smooth highways where the Roadster feels planted and confident. On rougher stretches, though, the firm rear shocks can transmit a fair amount of feedback, leading to some discomfort on long rides.

Comfort is a highlight. The seat now features extra cushioning, making both short commutes and longer journeys easier on the rider. The riding position feels natural, and the optional flat handlebar adds a sportier touch, giving the rider a stronger sense of connection with the bike at cruising speeds.

The Roadster also comes with two riding modes-City and Power. In City mode, speed is limited to around 100 km/h and 6,000 rpm, making it ideal for everyday riding. Power mode unlocks the bike's full potential, with a sweet spot at 80-90 km/h. We pushed it to 120 km/h, and it remained impressively stable and composed. The engine note has a more refined roar, adding to the sense of maturity.

Braking is handled by a 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc. Over 300 km of riding, the setup proved reliable. While not the sharpest in its class, the brakes provided consistent performance and enough confidence in sudden situations.

Overall, the new Roadster delivers a balanced mix of comfort, stability, and refinement. It feels best on highways and in the city, where its improved dynamics and relaxed ergonomics come together to create an engaging cruiser experience.
