2017 Tokyo Motor Show: Kawasaki Ninja 400 Unveiled
Kawasaki Ninja 400 unveiled at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show.
Kawasaki has unveiled the Ninja 400, which replaces the Ninja 300, with capacity up to 399cc and a significant increase in power and torque and is lighter as well.
The Japanese bike manufacturer revealed the Ninja 400 at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show along with the Kawasaki Ninja 250. The Kawasaki Ninja 400 is expected to debut in India at the 2018 Auto Show to be held in Delhi.
The Ninja 400 is powered by an all-new parallel twin 399cc engine producing 44bhp @ 10,000rpm and 38Nm of torque @ 8000rpm, up from the 38bhp and 27Nm of torque of its predecessor.
Kawasaki says the Ninja 400 offers better performance throughout the range, with renewed low-end torque, all the while maintaining a smooth throttle response and rider-friendly character.

The Kawasaki Ninja 400 is built on a new steel trellis frame and helps deliver a 6kg weight saver compared to the Ninja 300. The Kawasaki Ninja 400 weighs 168kg at wet.
The Ninja 400 benefits from an assist-and-slipper clutch and is claimed to make the lever 20 percent lighter to pull and gets styling details inspired by the Ninja H2, with 'chin-spoilers' below the twin LED headlamps.
The motorcycle also boasts of the largest front disc brakes in its class with 310mm and Nissin ABS. Kawasaki says the 'large-volume bodywork' offers excellent wind protection and the riding position is 'relaxed, sporty,' and the seat height is at 786mm which should put the motorcycle within reach of most riders.
Kawasaki offers the Ninja 400 in two paint schemes: Metallic Spark Black, Lime Green and Ebony (KRT Edition).
