Upcoming Datsun Go Crossover Showcased At 2015 Tokyo Motor Show
The Datsun Go Cross (Crossover) has been showcased at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show*. The Go is currently available in India as a hatchback and a compact station wagon (Go+). It is most likely that Datsun will introduce this crossover model in India as well.
The Go Cross is currently in the concept phase and showcases the possibility of Datsun growing its range of existing products. The crossover segment is gaining popularity in the Indian market, and the Go Cross could attract several new buyers.
The concept version of the Datsun Go Cross displays a noticeable increase in ride height. The front bumpers and side body kit is redesigned for an off-roader persona. Fog lamps have been raised closer to the headlight while LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) are lowered. Sporty roof rails are provided to enhance the sporty characteristics of this vehicle.

The Go Cross will get the same engine that power's the Go hatchback and Go+ station wagon, which is a 1.2-litre, in-line three-cylinder, petrol engine that is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Vincent Cobee, Global Head of Datsun, expressed that Datsun as a brand has made progress. They have so far sold 1,00,000 new models in various parts of the world, and is planning to expand sales and service networks in its existing markets.
Cobee further added, Datsun plan to introduce a third product for the Indian market. This new product will be Nissan's first vehicle based on the CMF-A platform developed by Renault-Nissan alliance.
