The new Outlander PHEW gets an EV Priority switch which prevents the SUV from switching to hybrid mode. Which means you can drive full 53km range on electric power without the engine coming into play and using fuel.
The updated SUV gets an electric parking brake and auto hold mode. The infotainment system gets refreshed with the addition of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The SUV also gets a bunch of safety features - blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, auto braking sensors, automatic high beam and LEF foglamps.
The diesel variant of the SUV also gets the same safety features. Additional to that it gets a special tech to prevent accidental acceleration, around-view camera, heated steering wheel and heated windscreen. Mitsubishi stated that the updated models will be available later in 2017 in the UK.
