2016 EICMA Motorcycle Show: Triumph Street Scrambler Unveiled
Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled its all-new Street Scrambler at the 2016 EICMA Motor Show. Street Scrambler is based on Triumph’s Street Twin motorcycle that was launched a while ago.
Triumph Motorcycles has showcased another new model at the 2016 EICMA Motor Show. New Street Scrambler has been unveiled further expanding their range. Recently, Triumph Motorcycles revealed an all-new range of two-wheelers for the international market.
Street Scrambler is based on Triumph Motorcycles Street Twin model. However, the British-based manufacturer has included a new chassis and suspension for its Street Scrambler. Footpegs have also been altered to provide riding ergonomics that suit a Scrambler motorcycle.
Powering the Triumph Street Scrambler is a 900cc parallel twin cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine produces 54bhp, with the engine tuned for high torque performance. Triumph Motorcycles also offers switchable ABS, traction control, ride by wire, and torque assist clutch.
Triumph Street Scrambler rides on 19-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear Metzeler Tourance tyres. A side-mounted dual exhaust outlet is provided high on the motorcycle. Street Scrambler receives an interchangeable pillion seat for a rack, providing a unique look.
Over 150 official accessories will be available for Street Scrambler by Triumph Motorcycles. It is unclear if Triumph Motorcycles would bring the Street Scrambler to India. The previous iteration of the Triumph Scrambler also did not make its way to India and it seems highly unlikely this time as well.
