Yamaha unveiled the XSR900 at 2015 EICMA*. The Kenny Roberts tribute yellow and black speed block retro-theme of the XSR900 has been carried out by Roland Sands Design, based in the US. The XSR900 is an attempt to build the sport heritage range.

The motorcycle packs enough technology to make the XSR900 rider friendly and usable, but minimal enough to make it a simple motorcycle to ride every day. Technology such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), traction control, assist and slipper clutch, and the adjustable suspension has been retained.

The chassis of the Yamaha XSR900 is the same as the MT-09, and will be powered by an 847cc, in-line three-cylinder engine that produces 113bhp and 87Nm of torque.

Yamaha will offer an array of accessories to customise further the XSR900, which is expected to arrive in European and other markets by March 2016.

Expected price: £7499 (Rs. 7.5 lakh)

*EICMA, or the Milan Motorcycle Show is an annual show in Milan, Italy featuring motorcycles.
