Yamaha Unveils WR450F Enduro Motorcycle At 2015 EICMA

Yamaha unveils the new WR450F Enduro motorcycle at the ongoing 2015 EICMA Motor Show, along with the rally version of the WR450F. The motorcycle is based on Yamaha's YZ450F, that won the 2015 MXGP World Championship.

The WR450F receives a new reverse cylinder head with a rearward slanting cylinder, which is a 449cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Performance figures have not been disclosed by Yamaha yet. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and a fuel injection system.

Some of the 2016 Yamaha WR450F's features include a new aluminium bilateral beam frame, a new electric start system, KYB adjustable suspension, temperature regulating radiator fan, and skid plate.

The Yamaha WR450F is developed for recreational riders, enduro racers, and rally riders. Engine and chassis have been developed for maximum performance for on and off-road conditions. Yamaha promises the bike to be light and agile for maximum riding pleasure.

The WR450F also receives an enduro computer which provides engine warning and fuel level warning. It has two modes, standard and race. The standard mode displays speed, trip meter, and clock, while the race mode shows average speed, race time, and trip functionality.
