AGV’s Motorsports Heritage Showcased To Celebrate 70th Anniversary
AGV showcased its legendary motorsport history at EICMA, to celebrate 70 years. The tour was led by Cristiano Silei, the CEO of Dainese. The tour showcased the dawn of motorcycling competitions in the late '40s, from the legendary F1 drivers to modern MotoGP competitors.
Also, the tour took people from the development of the first helmet in 1947 to today's wind-tunnel testing and advanced computer-guided designs.
The AGV booth at EICMA* to celebrate the 70th anniversary had its latest-generation Extreme Standards Helmets on display. The booth also displayed AGV's latest helmets, the K-5 Jet and Fluid open-face helmets.
The strength and design protocol of the helmets were explained in detail, to show how enhanced protection, performance, and comfort work together to offer the best protection. Improvements such as impact protection, design, field of vision, aerodynamics, weight, ventilation, and ergonomics are measurable through specific standards.
AGV's Extreme Standards substantially enhances primary and secondary safety, helping riders achieve good road awareness and performance with reduced fatigue.
Two of the most noted champions who use AGV products are Giacomo Agostini and MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi. In 2008, Rossi was made an honorary president of AGV.
