2017 Geneva Motor Show: Tata Tamo Racemo Sports Coupe Unveiled

Powering the new Tamo Racemo sports coupe is a 1.2-litre turbocharged mid-mounted petrol engine producing 186bhp and 210Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed AMT gearbox with paddle shifters. Tata claims the Racemo will sprint from 0-100km/h in around 6 seconds.

Designed by the Tata Motors Design Studio in Turin, Italy, the Racemo sports sleek LED headlights, butterfly doors, a very low stance and roof, and lines and bulges everywhere.

The low-slung Racemo Sports Coupe is available in two different guises - the regular Racemo and the more track focused Racemo+ which will be offered in the digital world in the Forza Horizon, the first Indian car to make it to the Forza series.

Speaking about the unveil of the sports coupe, Guenter Butschek, CEO & MD, Tata Motors said, "Racemo is the first innovation from Tamo and our emotional, unexpected leap to the future. Symbolising the change that is taking place at Tata Motors, Racemo is the proving ground of the Tamo family of vehicles and will drive the future of India's connected generation. From styling and design to driver experience and technology, Racemo is an extension of customers' personality, as part of their digital ecosystem and will break the ice with a radical new presence and pique the interest in the parent brand."

The Tata Tamo Racemo is expected to go on sale in India next year in a limited production run.
