2017 Geneva Motor Show: Facelifted Skoda Citigo Unveiled
Skoda has unveiled the facelifted version of the Citigo at the ongoing 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Sadly, the car's engine has not received any updates.
In the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Skoda had unveiled the Citigo. Now, the Czech carmaker has launched an updated version of the car. The car has been revealed at the ongoing 2017 Geneva motor show. This time the Citigo receives different styling cues and a few interior tweaks.

On the outside, you will find some significant changes such as -the Citigo's bonnet, front grille, bumpers and the foglights have gone through some tweaks. The headlight cluster has also been updated and now features LED headlights.

Apart from this, the car has been given some more new features such as - a cornering foglight function, tinted taillights, and new 15-inch alloy wheels. There is a colour package which includes a white or black design for the roof and door mirrors.

Step inside the car and you will notice few intricate changes such as - a new instrument cluster and optional multifunction leather steering wheel. The dashboard has been finished in a dual tone colour.

Apart from this, you also get a high-resolution digital display and light and rain sensors are also optional, and you also get the start-stop button system.

Skoda is also offering a 'Simply Clever' feature with the Citigo. This feature includes an umbrella under the front passenger seat. Apart from this, there are storage compartments, cupholders, smartphone holders, a bag hook on the glove compartment and a mesh for the boot.

Sadly, the facelifted car carries the same engine from the current model, which, means it will be available in the same three engine variants. Power output remains 59bhp to 75bhp depending on the variant. the comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.

The price of the facelifted variant are not yet out, but, considering the changes that the company has made, we expect Skoda to price the Citigo notable higher than the current models. Prices of the current model £10,070 (INR around 6.5 lakh) to £11,390 (INR around 8 Lakh).
