2017 Geneva Motor Show: Renault Zoe e-Sport Concept Unveiled — The Future Of Hot Hatchbacks?
The electric Renault ZOE e-sport concept has 456bhp, four-wheel drive.
Renault is known to use its Renaultsport department to design concept cars, and at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the company has unveiled a new ZOE concept using the company's Formula E technology.

Known as the Zoe e-Sport, based upon the Zoe sold in Europe, but can sprint to 100km/h from standstill in 3.2 seconds, nearly 10.3 seconds quicker than the road car.

The Zoe e-Sport is a regular two-seat version of Renault's all-electric city car, possessing a bold, angular, wide body kit, a colour design in homage to the Renault e.dams Formula E team, and most importantly a four-wheel-drive powertrain from Formula E technology.

The Zoe e-Sport is powered by two electric motors to deliver 456bhp - about 200bhp more than administered 270bhp limit of a Formula E single-seater. Additionally, up to 640Nm of torque is available, and a 40kWh battery pack supplies power.

With a large electric motor and battery pack in place, Renault has gone to drastic measures to try and keep the ZOE e-sport's weight light.

The bodywork is built from carbon fibre, while the steel roll cage combines Kevlar panels. Despite the weight loss, the ZOE e-sport still weighs in at 1,400kg.

The Zoe e-Sport sits on 20-inch alloy wheels with slick 245/35 tyres, double wishbone suspension at both ends, and Ohlins four-way adjustable dampers. Braking power comes favour of an AP Racing braking package.

The electric car is said to feature an FIA-compliant combined tubular steel roll cage and two Recaro bucket seats. The interior reveals that the e-Sport's interior has little to no similarity to the one used by the production vehicle.

Another cool sports car to be unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show is the McLaren 720s, below is an extensive photo gallery, click to view.
